Mechanical Polished Concrete in Dandenong
This week we were busy putting working in a new home for Mechanical Polished Concrete in Dandenong.
For this job, our customer requested a darker shade than most of our other work, as well a high-gloss finish that would resemble glass.
To actualise these effects, we thoroughly grinded and polished the concrete mechanically a number of times, and then finished by adding a gloss to gain the shine you can see in the following photo. To achieve the darker effect we used a concrete with a light-brown hue and a large amount of black pebbles, as well as some smaller lighter-coloured ones to ensure balance.
The final product resulted in a very classy and elegant look. The room had the appearance of belonging to a sophisticated and modern family while still retaining traditional elements. We all agreed that this floor would go great with some nice wooden antique furniture!
One of the best aspects of polished concrete flooring is the feeling of space; an effect which was on full display during this job. The architecture of the room, with its large size and huge french windows stretching across an entire wall, already felt spacious before we started our work, and, once we had finished, it felt massive! A room with this must space provides almost unlimited potential for interior design, which will leave it feeling fresh and unique for decades to come.
Even if your room is small, the effect that polished concrete will have is staggering! Even the tiniest of houses will feel instantly bigger. Furthermore, polished concrete always gives of an aura of sparkling cleanliness, and, when it does come time to actually clean it, it’s as easy as water and a mop!
Our customer’s new house in Dandenong will always feel crisp and modern. Their slick and dark colour pattern gives it a flexible demeanour that will work will any number of styles and interior designs. We can see they definitely put a lot of thought into their house, and we felt honoured to help bring their dream to life!
