This time, our team went down to Lilydale, a lush-green outer-eastern suburb of Melbourne, to provide Lilydale full-exposure polished concrete flooring for a soon-to-be-opened shop.
The owners of the shop decided on Lilydale full exposure polished concrete as their flooring option due to the professional, clean and modern image it projects. They also realised it will save them the future headaches unfortunately attached to other flooring solutions.

They further decided that their polished concrete was to be full exposure. Full exposure ensures that stones and pebbles can clearly be seen in the concrete. This job in particular used a rather deep level grind, making each pebble appear larger and more noticeable. This creates the illusion of a fuller space – making the room feel less empty.
The concrete’s unique aggregate was filled with pebbles of a brown and dark colour scheme, creating an earthy feel. The final result added character and colour to the room, giving it a far more completed look.
However, the effect was also made to be reasonably subtle, so as to not overwhelm the space and dominate the room. This will allow furniture and decorating to be the real decider of the room’s aesthetic.
