Grind and Seal Mount Waverly – we recently had the chance to do just that with a grind and seal in a garage space at Mount Waverley. When we arrived, as you can see from the Before picture, the floor was old and deteriorating. The paint cover was chipped and did nothing to uplift the property.
So we got in there and took the floor back to its natural state.
We could see the potential immediately and were able to bring that through to achieve this gorgeous salt and pepper. Just look at that After photo!
Because of Eco Grind’s grind and seal process the space is fresh, alive, and has instantly improved the look and value of the property.
Grind and Seal Process
Grind and Seal Mount Waverly – We used the grind and seal process as it was the perfect solution for the customer and the focus area.
We started by grinding down the old surface to remove the coating hiding the original concrete. We removed imperfections and exposed the upper layer of the concrete aggregate. After grinding, we sealed the surface with a protective coating. We’ve left it looking polished and consistent and now, it’s much more durable.
Unlike the previous surface, this one will last. The old surface was clearly difficult to clean and maintain.
You can see in the photos that it was stained and, let’s face it, ugly. But no longer will any of that be an issue.
And now it looks amazing!

The salt and pepper appearance of this Mt Waverly garage was perfect for the available materials and the client’s visual preference. But the beauty of the grind and seal process is the vast options and variability it offers.
We can grind deeper into the aggregate for more variability and color or grind shallow for a more subtle consistency. The best thing is we can polish new or existing concrete floors to a full or partial exposure or use acid etching to enhance the aggregate contrast.
